If the recipient is not available at the time of delivery and it is not safe to leave the flowers, a redelivery fee will apply. Location
Ultimo is an inner-city suburb of Sydney, located about 2 kilometres southwest of the Sydney central business district (CBD). It is bordered by Pyrmont to the north, Haymarket to the east, Chippendale to the south, and Glebe to the west. This makes Ultimo a conveniently located and vibrant part of the city, well-connected to various amenities and public transportation options.
History
Ultimo’s history dates back to the early 19th century when Dr. John Harris was granted 34 acres by Governor King in 1803. The suburb`s name originates from a clerical error in a legal case against Harris. The area remained largely rural until it was subdivided in 1859, leading to significant residential development in the 1880s. The early 20th century saw Ultimo transform into an industrial hub with factories, wool stores, and power stations. However, as industries moved out, the suburb underwent redevelopment from the 1980s onwards, evolving into a mixed residential and commercial area.
