Moore Park is an entertainment-oriented suburb located three kilometres southeast of Sydney`s Central Business District, in the Eastern Suburbs. The suburb is home to Sydney Football Stadium, The Sydney Cricket Ground, Moore Park Golf Course, Fox Studios, The Entertainment Quarter, and vast expanses of parkland.

History
The Sydney Royal Easter Show was held in Moore Park up until 1998, after which time, The Sydney Showground was redeveloped into Fox Studios, one of Australia`s busiest and most successful film and television studios. A range of major movies have been produced at the studios, including Moulin Rouge!, The Matrix, Star Wars Episodes II and III, and more! The Sydney Cricket Ground was opened in Moore Park in 1848, and Moore Park Golf Course in 1926. While the former is still in operation today, the latter is currently the subject of a redevelopment proposal that may see half its current landholdings reclaimed for use as public parkland. Moore Park is a notably peculiar Sydney suburb in that it contains no residential streets or land.
Points of Interest
The Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney Football Stadium, Fox Studios and the Entertainment Quarter are concentrated in the suburb`s northeastern region, adjacent to Paddington and Centennial Park. The Hordern Pavilion and the Royal Hall of Industries, on Driver Avenue, host a variety of events throughout the year, including music concerts, fashion parades and the after party to the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. The majority of the suburb is parkland, with Moore Park Golf Course found in the southwestern quarter, adjacent to the Supa Centa - a popular homewares shopping centre.
