Kingsgrove is a mostly residential suburb located 13 kilometres south of Sydney`s Central Business District. Its convenient proximity to Bardwell Valley Parklands, Wolli Creek, Botany Bay and Sydney Airport makes it an attractive place to live. The suburb features its own train station on the T8 Airport & South railway line.
Location
History
The suburb was first used by European settlers as a farm in 1804, named "King`s Grove" in honour of New South Wales Governor Philip King. The name of the suburb was subsequently simplified to "Kingsgrove". Originally an agricultural and alcohol/tobacco manufacturing area, the suburb developed into a residential district in the early 20th century, following the opening of Kingsgrove railway station in 1931.

Clemton Park is Kingsgrove`s largest green space. Canterbury Golf Course and Bexley Golf Club lie adjacent to the suburb and the Wolli Creek and Bardwell Valley parklands are within near reach to the suburb`s eastern border. Kingsgrove`s main shopping precinct is situated around Kingsgrove railway station, and features a Bunnings Warehouse, a Woolworths supermarket, and an array of smaller specialty stores.
